17th Century Wing - Internal ImagesLiving RoomThe carpets in the living room are a rich pine green in colour, and lead up through a small spiral staircase in the corner of the room, onto the large landing above (see next set of pictures). The living room is 19'10 x 14'3 in size and looks out to both the farmyard at the rear and the landscaped gardens at the front. This room has a large ingelnook fireplace, with a real solid-fuel open fire, which is framed by a large oak lintel. There is also a large meat hook fixed to the central beam in this room. In addition, remnants of the old servants bell-wire mechanism can be clearly viewed. The walls have been painted in a beige/sand colour.
